Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
-Provide Forecasts & Plans in coordination with Strategic planning and Technical requirements
-Assessment of feedstock quantity requirements in coordination with Strategic Planning
-Technical assessment of the Feedstock suitability for the intended purpose. Sampling, pilot testing , feedstock qualification involving third party agencies
-Scoping of the supply and receipt facilities in coordination with the third party and technical teams
-Negotiation of the commercial terms of supplies as per Management guidelines in coordination with Strategic planning team.
-Secure Long term Feed stock , Utility & Fuel Supplies for New Projects & Business Expansions in coordination with Strategic Planning.
-Land lease requests for New Industrial land & Port facilities
-Sight Allocation Request SAR for New Projects and Securing Right of Way ROW for new projects.
-Ensure compliance to directions of the above regulatory authorities from time to time.
-Establishing systems and procedures in coordination with technical and operations for operational phase contract administration.
-Coordinate with ISD / Operations / Technical / Strategic Planning and obtain Chemical Import permits Including permits for LAB, N-Paraffin, Benzene, Alpha Olefins and other products
-Coordinate with the relevant internal processes, provide document and technical support to ISD and secure the required Duty Exemptions.
-Ensure that Farabi secures and receives optimal contracts on raw material, feed stock and utilities, pricing and preserving the integrity of the process.
-Identify the concerned functions to develop the procurement contracts with third party suppliers and ensures compliance of contracts with technical requirements.
-Forecast the suppliers and the required raw material, feed stock and utilities suppliers in order to secure competitive advantages in prices and ensures that Farabi’s position is protected.
-Secure Long term Feedstock, Utility & Fuel Supplies for New Projects & Business Expansions in coordination with Strategic Planning.
-Oversees the materials availability and suppliers, ensuring that necessary materials and items are promptly delivered in agreed upon specifications.
-Conducts research to ascertain demands and adjust business strategy to ensure being competitive.
-Monitors competitors pricing and marketing activities and modifies plans and programs to capture a larger share of the business.
